The Centre for Advanced Research and Design (CARD) of Venus International Foundation (VIF) organized a full day Contemporary Academic Meet (CAM) on 5th July 2015 at Radha Regent Chennai. It is a 1st Meet and was attended by 217 participants (represented 7 Country: from Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and India) those are in 'Continuous Regular Service in Academic Institution' working in the frontiers of Agricultural Sciences, Engineering, Health and Medical Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences, Management, Science, Veterinary and Animal Sciences.

Objectives

Contemporary academicians to interact with the key scientists, professors and leading technologists with sessions on questioning and answering, vision to techno impediments, solutions and upcoming research developments.
To focus on the future shape of higher education, technological change and expectations of the next generation of students.
To bring together leading academicians and researchers to exchange and share their experiences and research results on all aspects of Higher Education.
To discuss the implications for university education and research, and higher education policy.

Inauguration

This Meet provided an opportunity for participants to share knowledge and explores the Groundbreaking strategies, Influential Trends, and best practices that define effective solutions adopted in the fields of Higher Education. In many ways the meet is unique: the traditions of being by invitation only, have always been intended to promote intense and positive discussion between the experts in the field. The intent of the meet is not archival publication, but rather to provide a forum to build community and to stimulate discussion, new insight and experimentation.

Faculty Awards Ceremony

The Venus International Faculty Awards (affectionately known as the VIFAs) scheme was instituted in the year 2015 by the CARD of VIF. It is presented yearly during the Contemporary Academic Meet (CAM) conducted during July month of the year. The award scheme has a Criteria, Standards, Regulations, Application Form, Expert Committee and Judging Process etc that are governed by the Board of Trust. The VIFA 2015 is convened by the CARD of VIF & conducted in accordance with the VIF BOARD MEETING resolution vide F. No. VIF/MIN/BM-I/2015 held on February 6, 2015 at VIF Head Quarters. The VIFA categories reflect a wide spectrum and the VIFA 2015 invites nominations vide F. No. VIF/CFN/FA/2015 opened on 17 February 2015 from eligible individuals those are in 'Continuous Regular Service in Academic Institution'

The nominees are selected based on the Expert Committee report and Apex Committee recommendations.
