This page provides a summary of the 1st Annual Medical Summit, hosted by the
Center for Health and Medical Sciences (CHMS) of Venus International Foundation (VIF) on April 21, 2018 Chennai
The CHMS of VIF organized a full day Annual Medical Summit on April 21, 2018 at Le Royal Meridien, Chennai.
It is a 1st Meet and was attended by 46 participants (represented 4 Country: from Canada,
Bahrain, Malaysia and India) those are in an active clinical practice at Teaching Hospitals or Clinical
Establishments and working in the Medical Specialties, Surgical Specialties, Medical
Super Specialties and Surgical Super Specialties.
Objectives of the Meet
To support the principles of and overcome the challenges related to clinical &
To discuss next-generation medicine – personalised vs precision medicine
To focus Leadership thoughts on what makes hospitals smart
To discuss on digital technology for early disease detection, personalized treatment
and prevention (Integrating Technology, Patients and Doctors)
This Meet provided a platform for collaborative relationships among
clinicians (working in the Medical Specialties, Surgical Specialties, Medical Super Specialties and Surgical Super Specialties)
to create and disseminate new scientific knowledge that will help to generate impactful
research about the safety and quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of healthcare in order to
inform and shape healthcare practice.
In many ways the meet is unique: the traditions of being by
invitation only, have always been intended to promote intense
and positive discussion between the experts in the field. The
intent of the meet is not archival publication, but rather to
provide a forum to build community and to stimulate discussion, new
insight and experimentation.

Medical Awards Ceremony
Venus International Medical Awards (VIMA) scheme was
instituted in the year 2017 by the CHMS of VIF. It is presented yearly
during the AMS that is conducted during April
month of the year. The scheme has a Criteria, Standards, Policy,
Nomination Application, Expert Committee and Judging Process that are
governed by the Board of Trust.
The VIMA 2018 is convened by the CHMS of VIF & will be conducted
in accordance with the VIF BOARD MEETING resolution vide F. No.
VIF/MIN/BM-I/2018 held on January 2, 2018 at VIF Head Quarters.
The VIMA 2018 invites nominations vide F. No. VIF/CFN/MA/2018
opened on January 19, 2018 from eligible individuals those are in an
active clinical practice at Teaching Hospitals or Clinical
The nominees are selected based on the Expert Committee report and Apex Committee recommendations.
The Awards are bestowed to the Winners by the Speakers/Guest of Honors of AMS 2018.
